2024 GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump responded on Tuesday to the release of Kamala Harris’s medical report, declaring that “it’s not good.”
Trump stated that Harris “is dying to see my cholesterol (which is 180!). I have provided them with my records many times, including quite recently, and they were flawless. However, I have just seen Kamala’s report, and it is not good.”
He highlighted specific health issues, saying, “According to her doctor’s report, she suffers from ‘urticaria,’ which is defined as a rash of round, red welts on the skin that itch intensely, sometimes with dangerous swelling. She also has ‘allergic rhinitis and allergic conjunctivitis’—a very messy and dangerous situation. These are serious conditions that clearly impact her ability to function. Maybe that explains why she struggles to answer even the simplest questions from ’60 Minutes’ and others. What’s going on here? I don’t have these problems.”
Trump boasted, “I’ve released more medical exams than any other president in history and aced two cognitive exams (the doctor stated that my ‘cognitive exams were exceptional!’). I am far healthier than Clinton, Bush, Obama, Biden, but especially Kamala. Plus, I’m too busy campaigning to take time off; with just 22 days left, I’m using every hour of every day to campaign because we need to take back our country from the radical left that is destroying it. MAGA 2024!”
Harris’s healthcare statement, released by her physician, Joshua Simmons, stated that “Harris is a healthy 59-year-old woman with a medical history notable for seasonal allergies and urticaria.” Simmons added that these symptoms “have previously been well-managed with over-the-counter and prescription medications,” concluding that Harris “possesses the physical and mental resilience required to successfully execute the duties of the presidency, including those as Chief Executive, Head of State, and Commander in Chief.” The report also noted a “maternal history of colon cancer.”
Speaking to reporters on the tarmac in North Carolina over the weekend, Harris remarked, “Today, I release my medical records, as I believe every candidate for president of the United States should, except Donald Trump in this election cycle. This is just another example of his lack of transparency, alongside his unwillingness to debate again or do an interview with ’60 Minutes,’ which is part of the norm for anyone running for president.”
In a Sunday post, Harris added, “Donald Trump refuses to release his medical records and is unwilling to meet for a second debate. Why does his staff want him to hide away? Are they afraid that people will see he is too weak and unstable to lead America?”
