Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) is demanding answers from Attorney General Pam Bondi over the delayed release of crucial classified documents, including the Jeffrey Epstein client list and records related to the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Bondi confirmed in a recent Fox News interview that she is actively reviewing these sensitive files, along with other classified documents. She assured the public that her review was in direct response to President Trump’s directive to declassify them.
“It’s sitting on my desk right now to review,” Bondi stated. “That’s been a directive by President Trump. I’m reviewing that. I’m reviewing JFK files, MLK files. That’s all in the process of being reviewed because that was done at the directive of the President from all of these agencies.”
When asked if she had uncovered any significant information, Bondi was cautious in her response, simply stating, “Not yet.”
In a separate interview with conservative host Benny Johnson, Bondi reiterated that she is actively working on the matter but refrained from disclosing details.
Benny Johnson pressed Bondi about the Epstein documents, emphasizing that many Americans believe powerful figures have long been protected from scrutiny.
Bondi responded that she had been briefed on the subject just the day before but was not at liberty to discuss specifics. However, she reassured Johnson and his audience that President Trump had issued a strong directive, ensuring that the process moves forward.
Despite Trump signing an executive order to declassify these files, their release has yet to happen, leading to mounting frustration among lawmakers and the public.
Many have begun pointing fingers at Rep. Luna, who serves as chairwoman of the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets. Critics argue that her task force has not done enough to push the process forward.
Even General Michael Flynn weighed in, taking to social media to call for full transparency. “Rep. Luna, RELEASE EVERYTHING AT ONCE. WE DON’T NEED A TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE, WE NEED FULL TRANSPARENCY FROM THE USG.”
Luna quickly responded, clarifying that she does not have the authority to declassify documents. She explained that declassification approval is handled by Attorney General Bondi, National Security Advisor Michael Waltz, former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, and White House Counsel David Warrington. She urged Flynn to ensure that accurate information was being shared with the public.
Hey @GenFlynn you of all people would know that I nor the committee have any declass authority. The declassification approval is done by WALTZ, TULSI, BONDI, and WH Council. You know this. WE do need transparency but we ALSO NEED PEOPLE LIKE YOU PUTTING OUT CORRECT INFO. 🙂 https://t.co/ThOac030Lb

Flynn acknowledged Luna’s response but maintained that the files should be released in their entirety without redactions. He emphasized that the American people deserve to know the full truth, no matter how uncomfortable it may be for government agencies or individuals implicated in the documents.
Thank you @GenFlynn

Amid increasing public pressure, Luna directly confronted Bondi on social media, asking, “AG Pam Bondi, we saw over the weekend you are reviewing all files from JFK to Epstein! We are ALL anticipating their release! When will they be declassified and available to the public?”

Luna also pointed out that House Oversight had sent letters to the Department of Justice on February 11 and February 19, inquiring about the status of the Epstein files and other classified materials.
She expressed frustration that the DOJ had not responded, stating that she was resorting to public platforms like X to demand answers.
On Feb 11 & Feb 19, house oversight sent a letter to the DOJ asking for status on releasing the Epstein files as well as JFK etc.

The DOJ has not responded.
Reaching out on X because we can’t seem to get a response from the AG.@AGPamBondi what is the status of the…
On February 19, in her role as chairwoman of the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, Luna sent an official letter to Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Attorney General Pam Bondi, National Security Advisor Michael Waltz, and White House Counsel David Warrington.
She requested a briefing on February 26 regarding JFK files and another on March 17 for RFK and MLK assassination records.
In her letter, Luna asked for a concrete timeline on when Trump’s declassification order would be executed, where the documents would be housed, and when they would be accessible to the public.
Additionally, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) joined Luna in demanding briefings from various agencies on multiple classified matters, including:
- The JFK, RFK, and MLK assassinations
- The origins of COVID-19
- Unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs) and unidentified submerged objects (USOs)
- 9/11 documents
- The full, unredacted Epstein client list
As the public awaits further developments, the pressure on Bondi and other government officials to release these classified documents continues to build. Transparency advocates argue that delaying the declassification only fuels speculation and distrust in government institutions.
While Luna has made it clear that she does not have direct declassification authority, she has positioned herself as a leading figure in the fight for government transparency.
Whether her persistent efforts will result in the timely release of these files remains to be seen, but the growing demand from lawmakers and the public is unlikely to subside anytime soon.
The coming weeks will be crucial as the task force seeks answers and as Bondi, Waltz, and other key figures face mounting calls to act swiftly on Trump’s directive.
With briefings scheduled and pressure mounting, many are hopeful that long-held government secrets will soon be revealed to the American public.
