A late-night shooting in Baltimore has left a community shaken, with at least six people injured, including a 5-year-old child and a 15-year-old teenager.
The incident took place Sunday evening in the 5100 block of Queensbury Avenue, a residential neighborhood where families were settling in for the night before chaos erupted.
Authorities say the shooting occurred shortly before midnight. Initial reports indicate that gunfire broke out suddenly, scattering residents and leaving several people wounded.
Among the injured are the young child and teenager, whose conditions remain unknown. Four other victims, all adults, were also struck, though police have not yet disclosed the severity of their injuries.

Baltimore Police have confirmed that they responded rapidly to the scene, but no suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made. Detectives are canvassing the area, speaking to witnesses, and reviewing security footage from nearby homes and businesses in hopes of piecing together what led to the violence.
The motive remains unclear, and officials have not said whether the shooting was targeted or random. Police Commissioner Richard Worley described the incident as “deeply disturbing” and pledged that every available resource will be used to track down those responsible. “When a child is among the victims, it hits the community especially hard. We will not stop until we find the person or people behind this,” Worley stated.
Residents say they are fed up with the cycle of violence that has plagued parts of the city. “We can’t keep living like this,” one neighbor said. “Kids can’t even play outside without fear. Something has to change.”
This latest shooting comes as Baltimore continues to struggle with persistent gun violence. City leaders have called for stronger community-police partnerships, expanded youth programs, and more aggressive action against illegal firearms. Mayor Brandon Scott urged anyone with information to come forward, emphasizing that silence only allows the shooters to walk free.
This is a developing story, and updates will follow as more details become available.
