New data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection reveals that over 1 million illegal aliens have entered the U.S. through what the Biden-Harris administration defines as “legal” channels.
This entry has been facilitated via the CBP One App and the CHNV Parole program. Notably, these figures are separate from the millions of illegal immigrants who have crossed into the U.S. since President Joe Biden took office.
The data shows that over 636,000 illegal aliens used the CBP One App to enter the U.S. at various ports of entry. Additionally, over 462,000 individuals were flown directly into the U.S. under the CHNV Parole program. Critics argue these are just additional tactics by the Biden administration to bring potential future Democratic voters into the country, funded by taxpayer money.
Recently, the Biden-Harris administration announced the restart of this controversial taxpayer-funded policy after a temporary suspension. According to Rebecca Santana from the Associated Press, a source often viewed as sympathetic to the administration:
“The Department of Homeland Security had suspended the program earlier this month to investigate concerns but stated that an internal review found no widespread fraud among sponsors.”
The agency further explained that the new procedures for supporters, combined with existing rigorous vetting of potential beneficiaries, aim to strengthen the integrity of the processes and protect against exploitation.
The program, which began in January 2023, is a cornerstone of the Biden administration’s immigration policy, creating or expanding pathways for legal entry while supposedly restricting asylum for those crossing the border illegally.
However, critics claim there are no effective policies to restrict asylum for illegal entrants, suggesting that those who cross the border are still welcomed and that deportations are not taking place.
This program is seen by some as a deliberate effort by Democrats to increase the number of illegal immigrants in red states, using taxpayer money to fund the influx.
Reports indicate that President Biden has strategically flown the majority of illegal immigrants from his secret migrant flight program into Florida and Texas—two key Republican strongholds. According to the Washington Examiner, 90% of the migrants in the program were sent to these states:
- — At least 326,000 illegal immigrants were flown into Florida.
- — At least 21,964 were sent to Houston, Texas.
This influx is believed to strain the social welfare systems in these red states. Critics also argue that Republican lawmakers have been too weak to counter this policy effectively.
The Washington Examiner further reports that the Biden administration’s program of secretly flying illegal immigrants from Latin America into U.S. cities has disproportionately affected Florida and Texas.
An analysis by the Center for Immigration Studies of CBP data shows that of the 386,000 people admitted under this program since October 2022, about 348,000 were flown to airports in these two states. Florida, in particular, has become the top processing zone for these flights, receiving nearly 326,000 arrivals from the program’s inception through February.
This evidence suggests that a large number of these inadmissible immigrants initially land at international airports in Republican-governed states, fueling concerns about the administration’s immigration strategy and its impacts on red states.
