During an interview with CBS Philadelphia, one of Joe Biden’s own campaign volunteers made a critical remark about the President. On Sunday, Biden traveled to Philadelphia, aiming to garner support from the black community at a local church as his reelection campaign struggles.
After attending a service at Mt. Airy Church of God in Christ, Biden made an unscheduled stop at a Democratic campaign office in Philadelphia. The atmosphere at the campaign headquarters was notably subdued, with little enthusiasm for the President.
“Even when I was running for Senate, each time I ran, quite frankly, not a joke, Philadelphia, in particular, got me across the line,” Biden remarked, reflecting on his past campaigns.
Biden also commented on the small crowds at his events, saying, “Things are moving. They’re moving hard,” during the low-energy gathering.
A notable moment occurred when a campaign volunteer made a candid comment about Biden’s visit. “I hope he’s awake for it,” the volunteer said upon learning about Biden’s unscheduled visit to the campaign office.
