MSNBC recently conducted a focus group with Black voters to discuss their opinions on Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. The results were not what the network seemed to anticipate.
When asked if they knew any Black men planning to vote for Trump, every participant raised their hand.
The journalist then inquired if Kamala Harris entering the race had changed their opinions, to which they unanimously responded no.
Townhall reported:
That Probably Wasn’t the Answer MSNBC Expected From These Black Voters Regarding Kamala Harris
Although anecdotal, MSNBC has conducted several focus groups that have not been favorable to Kamala Harris. In Wisconsin, swing voters expressed concerns about her involvement in allegedly covering up the decline in Joe Biden’s health, questioning her character and willingness to conceal important information. A Georgia voter shared similar sentiments with CNN.
In this particular group of Black men, they all acknowledged knowing others in their community who intend to vote for Donald Trump. When asked if Kamala Harris taking a prominent role on the Democratic ticket influenced their decision, none of them indicated it did.
This trend suggests that identity politics might predominantly resonate with college-educated white women, who are perceived as increasingly insufferable even to self-identified liberals. While some non-white progressives support such views, it is largely a white progressive invention driven by their intense focus on these issues.
MSNBC continues to experience surprising moments with voters, providing some unexpected and humorous insights.
