Gunshots were reportedly fired at Donald Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania, prompting security staff to rush the former president off-stage, One individual reported being shot.

As Trump was delivering his speech, he appeared to fall to the ground. Armed security quickly surrounded him, and he remained down for about a minute.

Trump then stood up, pumped his fist in the air, and was escorted off the stage into a vehicle, which promptly drove him away from the scene.
Video footage showed what appeared to be blood on his ear as he was taken away, and Trump seemed to be clutching the side of his head as he fell.

The US Secret Service confirmed that Trump is now “safe” and that measures have been implemented around him. They also announced an investigation but did not provide further details.
“This is now an active Secret Service investigation and further information will be released when available,” the Secret Service said in a post on X.
The White House stated that President Joe Biden had received an “initial briefing” on the incident.
