Donald Trump stated in an interview with Lex Fridman on Tuesday that he would have “no problem” releasing Jeffrey Epstein’s client list.
During his appearance on Fridman’s podcast, Trump expressed that he would be “inclined” to make the full list public, emphasizing his willingness to disclose it.
When Fridman brought up the topic, Trump responded, “I’m not involved. I never went to his island, fortunately. But a lot of people did.”
Fridman further asked, “Why do you think so many smart, powerful people allowed him to get so close?”
Trump replied that Epstein was a “good salesman” and used his considerable assets to influence people. He found it “interesting” that the client list has not yet been released and suggested that it “probably will be [released], by the way.”
Trump reiterated during the interview, “A lot of big people went to that island. But fortunately, I was not one of them.” He mentioned Robert F. Kennedy Jr. had visited Epstein’s island many years ago, but noted it was a different situation.
When asked if he would release the list, Trump said, “I’d be inclined to do the Epstein thing,” and added, “I’d have no problem with it,” indicating his support for making the list public.
Epstein was found dead in his jail cell in 2019, in what was ruled a suicide, after being arrested for sex trafficking. His accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, is currently serving a prison sentence in Florida for grooming and luring teenagers to be sexually abused by Epstein.
