Shortly after it was announced that Joe Biden is dropping out of the 2024 presidential election and that he, along with numerous other Democrats, is endorsing Kamala Harris, Elon Musk took to X to mock the vice president.
“Imagine 4 years of this …” Musk posted on Sunday evening, accompanied by a video of a masked Kamala Harris saying, “I am Kamala Harris, my pronouns are she and her, and I am a woman sitting at the table wearing a blue suit.”
Just a few hours earlier, Musk had commented “Bwahaha” on the same video.
Several prominent Democrats have voiced their support for Harris following Biden’s announcement on X. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and California Gov. Gavin Newsom are among them. Newsom described Harris as “Tough. Fearless. Tenacious,” while Ocasio-Cortez emphasized the importance of uniting to defeat Donald Trump, stating, “Now more than ever, it is crucial that our party and country swiftly unite to defeat Donald Trump and the threat to American democracy.”
Bill and Hillary Clinton also expressed their support for Harris, stating that they are “honored to join the President in endorsing Vice President Harris and will do whatever we can to support her.”
Former President Trump quickly responded to the news of Biden dropping out, reportedly saying that Harris will be even “easier to beat” than Joe Biden.
