Harris campaign faces lawsuit after putting Tulsi Gabbard on terror watchlist

Legal action is being prepared against the Harris campaign following revelations from whistleblowers that former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard was subjected to increased travel surveillance and placed on a terror watchlist by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) due to her political views. Gabbard, a U.S. Armed Forces veteran and former congresswoman from Hawaii, was a candidate for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination.

Jordan Sekulow, Executive Director of the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), criticized the administration, stating that it is “once again unconstitutionally targeting conservatives for their political views.”

Sekulow added, “This alarming abuse of power represents yet another example of government overreach and the erosion of our constitutional rights. We are preparing major legal action against the Biden-Harris Deep State over this unconstitutional targeting of an American for her political speech.”

Gabbard, a combat veteran who continues to serve as an officer in the Army Reserves, was reportedly subjected to additional screening and harassment by the administration at airports across the country, according to whistleblowers. These allegations claim that Gabbard was placed in the TSA’s “Quiet Skies” program, which includes a surveillance list intended for suspected terrorists.

Whistleblowers report that individuals in this program are monitored without their knowledge. Teams of Federal Air Marshals allegedly follow and track these individuals from the moment they enter an airport until they reach their destination. The program is intended for potential terrorist threats, but the whistleblowers claim Gabbard has been subjected to intense scrutiny every time she boards a flight, including extensive searches and invasive screenings.

The heightened surveillance and scrutiny are believed to be retribution for Gabbard’s critical role in undermining Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign during the 2020 primary debates. Sekulow described the situation as “political targeting and weaponization of the government, the likes of which we have not seen since the IRS Tea Party targeting scandal of the Obama-Biden years.”

He emphasized, “Our Founding Fathers enshrined freedom of speech and protection from unreasonable searches in the Constitution for a reason. They knew the dangers of an unchecked government trampling on civil liberties. The Biden-Harris TSA’s apparent retaliation for Gabbard’s political activity is not just an affront to her rights but also to the rights of all Americans.”

Sekulow also announced that his organization is preparing to file Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests with the TSA, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice, and FBI to demand answers about the alleged unconstitutional targeting of Gabbard.
