Philadelphia sports radio host Howard Eskin has been suspended from attending Phillies home games for the remainder of the season following an investigation by his employer, which revealed he kissed a food service worker at Citizens Bank Park without consent.
Audacy, the parent company of Philadelphia’s SportsRadio 94WIP, stated that it learned of the “unwelcome kiss” involving an Aramark employee and promptly conducted an investigation, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Aramark, the food service provider for Citizens Bank Park, and the Phillies also released statements regarding the incident.
“We cooperated with our partners at Audacy and Aramark on their investigations,” the Phillies said, emphasizing their seriousness about the allegations. “We support Audacy’s decision to suspend Howard Eskin from Citizens Bank Park.”
Aramark confirmed that its investigation corroborated the allegations. “We then worked with Audacy and the Phillies to ensure that appropriate steps were taken to protect our employee and all Aramark employees at Citizens Bank Park,” the company stated.
Neither Audacy nor Eskin immediately responded to requests for comment from The Associated Press.
Eskin, a prominent figure in Philadelphia’s sports media landscape, helped launch SportsRadio 94WIP’s first sports talk show in 1986 and continues to be a key personality on both radio and sports television.
