BREAKING: Hunter Biden sentencing for gun conviction to start after election on November 13

Hunter Biden’s sentencing date for his gun charges has been scheduled for November 13, right after the election. President Biden’s son faces up to 25 years in prison and a maximum fine of $250,000.

According to The Hill, a federal judge will determine Hunter’s fate concerning his federal gun charges. He was found guilty in June of lying about his drug use when he applied to purchase a gun in 2018. The charges include making a false statement in a firearm purchase and possession of a gun by someone who is an unlawful user of addictive substances.

President Joe Biden has stated that he will not pardon his son Hunter regarding the gun charges.

Delaware US Attorney David Weiss, whose office worked on the case, said: “Ultimately, this case was not just about addiction, a disease that haunts families across the United States, including Hunter Biden’s family. This case was about the illegal choices the defendant made while in the throes of addiction.”

After the guilty verdict was delivered, Hunter wrote in a statement: “I am more grateful today for the love and support I experienced this last week from Melissa, my family, my friends, and my community than I am disappointed by the outcome. Recovery is possible by the grace of God, and I am blessed to experience that gift one day at a time.”

Following his conviction, Hunter’s law license was suspended by the DC Bar. Although the 54-year-old Biden faces a maximum sentence of 25 years, his actual prison time may be less as he is a first-time offender.
