President Donald Trump confirmed Tuesday that Israel has agreed to the key terms of a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza and bluntly warned Hamas that they better take the deal—because the alternative will be far more devastating.
Trump made the announcement as preparations ramp up for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s upcoming visit to the White House, scheduled for Monday. The meeting comes as Trump intensifies pressure on both Israel and Hamas to strike a temporary truce and resolve ongoing hostage negotiations amid a brutal war that has raged for months.
In a forceful statement posted Tuesday afternoon, the President said U.S. envoys had just wrapped a “long and productive” meeting with Israeli officials and secured a framework for a pause in hostilities.
“Israel has agreed to the necessary conditions to finalize the 60-day CEASEFIRE,” Trump wrote, adding that Qatar and Egypt are expected to deliver the final terms to Hamas leadership. “During that time, we will work with all parties to END the War.”

But Trump didn’t mince words for the terror group currently holding both Israeli and foreign hostages.
“I hope, for the good of the Middle East, that Hamas takes this Deal,” he warned. “Because it will not get better — IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE.”
Trump’s tone marks a dramatic escalation in rhetoric aimed at Hamas, signaling that if the group rejects the offer, it can expect severe consequences—likely in the form of intensified Israeli military operations with U.S. support. The President has made it clear that patience is wearing thin in Washington.
Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer was in Washington on Tuesday, engaging in high-level talks with senior Trump administration officials. The discussions reportedly covered the proposed Gaza ceasefire, regional threats like Iran, and U.S.-Israel military coordination.
While the Biden-era appeasement policies toward Iran and Palestinian factions left the region destabilized, the Trump administration is now reversing course—pushing for peace, but from a position of strength.
While leftist media outlets are portraying the 60-day ceasefire as a humanitarian effort, critics are already warning that Hamas could use the lull to regroup, rearm, and reposition forces—just as it has done in the past.
Still, administration officials insist the temporary ceasefire is a strategic move, not a surrender. According to sources, Trump’s plan involves strict monitoring of Hamas activity during the truce and preconditions that would allow Israel to resume full-scale military operations if Hamas breaks its word or refuses to release all remaining hostages.
“This is Hamas’s last chance to come to the table,” said one senior U.S. official who spoke on background. “If they blow this opportunity, the IDF will have a green light to finish the job.”
A Deal on the Table—Now the Ball’s in Hamas’s Court
With Israel on board and U.S. allies in the region prepared to mediate, the only piece left in play is Hamas. And judging by Trump’s no-nonsense ultimatum, the clock is ticking.
Whether this truce leads to a broader peace or just a momentary pause before a final reckoning, one thing is certain: under Trump’s leadership, America is no longer begging for diplomacy—it’s dictating the terms.
This is a breaking story. More updates to follow as Netanyahu arrives in Washington for crucial talks.
