Meena Harris, the niece of Vice President Kamala Harris, is using her Instagram platform, which has over 712,000 followers, to raise funds for “Gaza relief.” She has shared a link to the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF) on her account, encouraging donations to help address the “urgent humanitarian crisis in Gaza” and highlighting that “the wounds of this war will take years to heal.”
Meena, who is involved in theater production and acting, has been actively drawing attention to the ongoing situation in Gaza, as reported by the New York Post. In a similar effort, Harris’ stepdaughter, Ella Emhoff, has also been promoting fundraising for the PCRF on her Instagram. Additionally, Ella has raised money for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), despite the Biden-Harris administration’s decision to cut funding due to the agency’s connections to Hamas’ October 7 attack on Israel.
Notably, the fundraisers promoted by both Meena and Ella do not mention the October 7 attack, during which Hamas terrorists killed 1,200 Israelis and took hundreds hostage.
Meena Harris, who is 39 years old and the daughter of Kamala Harris’ sister Maya Harris, has been active in political circles, even appearing on stage at the Democratic National Convention (DNC). During Kamala Harris’ nomination speech at the DNC, which included support for Israel, Meena shared a photo on her Instagram story wearing a pin that read “Democrats for Palestinian Rights.”
This pin was reportedly handed out at the convention by uncommitted delegates who were there to protest the Biden-Harris administration’s support of Israel, according to NBC News.
