A new poll from the New York Times reveals that most registered voters believe Donald Trump is the change agent the country needs right now.
The poll is notable not only because it comes from the New York Times but also because it positions Trump as the candidate for change.
It highlights a widespread desire among voters for the country to shift direction after the past three years.
Breitbart News report:
A majority of registered voters believe former President Donald Trump “will bring about the right kind of change” for the nation, according to a New York Times/Siena College poll released Thursday.
Trump’s campaign focuses on restoring the economy, boosting American jobs, securing the southern border, and preventing World War III.
“I am running to be president for all of America, not half of America, because there is no victory in winning for half of America,” Trump said in Milwaukee during his RNC acceptance speech.
Only 47 percent of registered voters believe Vice President Kamala Harris would bring the right kind of change, and they also view her as a far less “strong leader” compared to Trump.
Sixty percent of registered voters see Trump as a strong leader, while only 46 percent feel the same about Harris.
Overall, the poll shows Trump leading Harris by two points, suggesting Harris may be experiencing a “honeymoon” phase in her initial campaign for president.
Harris might see a slight boost in the polls following the Democratic National Convention in August, which is typical, but her campaign is likely to face significant challenges moving forward.
