The former First Lady Melania Trump attended the final night of the Republican National Convention on Thursday to witness her husband, former President Trump, accept the Republican Party’s presidential nomination. She dazzled in a custom red Christian Dior suit, and her rare public appearance was widely celebrated on social media.
This appearance follows a powerful statement Melania Trump released after the assassination attempt on her husband, in which she called on the country to “unite” and “rise above the hate.”
The former first lady was greeted with cheers from the Milwaukee, Wisconsin RNC crowd as she entered the convention with a radiant smile. Her entrance was praised on social media, with many describing her as “classy,” “graceful,” “elegant,” and “stunning.”
Mrs. Trump, a philanthropist and former model, wore a custom red Christian Dior blazer and matching skirt styled by French designer Herve Pierre, as reported by Breitbart News. She previously wore this blazer in Paris, France, during a meeting with First Lady Brigitte Macron in 2017.
Melania Trump’s presence underscored the Republican Party’s theme of unity, which was particularly emphasized throughout the RNC convention following the assassination attempt on Trump’s life. Mrs. Trump urged Americans to “ascend above the hate, the vitriol, and the simple-minded ideas that ignite violence.”
President Trump honored his “amazing” wife during his acceptance speech, which focused on uniting the country. After Trump concluded his address, he and the former first lady shared a heartfelt moment on stage. Melania surprised him with a kiss, and other members of the Trump family joined them shortly after.
Also in attendance was Trump’s eldest daughter, Ivanka, who has remained out of the spotlight since her father left the White House in 2021.
