Tech mogul Elon Musk on Thursday alleged that President Donald Trump is listed in the infamous “Epstein files” — documents tied to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Musk made the accusation via a post on his X platform, writing: “Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”

Have a nice day, DJT!
He followed up with a cryptic message: “Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.”

The so-called “Epstein files” refer to U.S. government documents, flight logs, and other materials connected to Jeffrey Epstein’s criminal activities and extensive network of high-profile acquaintances.
Epstein was arrested in 2019 on charges of sex trafficking and exploitation of minors. He was later found dead in a Manhattan jail cell in what authorities ruled a suicide — though the circumstances remain controversial.
At the time of his death, Epstein had been charged with trafficking underage girls and possessing child pornography. He had pleaded not guilty and was denied bail due to being considered a flight risk.
Trump, along with a long list of elites including former President Bill Clinton, Harvard professor Alan Dershowitz, Mick Jagger, and actor Kevin Spacey, had social and business ties with Epstein at various points. Though Trump has previously downplayed the relationship, their past association has long fueled speculation and scrutiny.
Neither Trump nor the White House responded immediately to requests for comment regarding Musk’s claims.
The resurfacing of the Epstein scandal comes at a time of increasing political division, and Musk’s comments are likely to reignite calls for transparency around the still-sealed documents tied to the case. Numerous Epstein-related records remain under federal court seal, despite public interest in revealing the full extent of the disgraced financier’s connections.
Musk’s claim adds fuel to a broader narrative about political and institutional cover-ups surrounding Epstein’s powerful social circle. Whether this post signals new information or is simply part of Musk’s ongoing battle with Trump remains to be seen.
