WATCH: Nancy Pelosi takes credit for urging the removal of Biden

In a recent interview, Nancy Pelosi took credit for urging the removal of Joe Biden from the Democratic ticket.

Just weeks ago, a significant shift occurred within the Democratic Party, where Biden was quietly removed from the race. During this period, Biden was notably absent, reportedly due to COVID-19, and when he returned, he was no longer the Democratic candidate for president.

Pelosi quickly emerged as the key figure behind the move, and now she’s openly discussing her role. Speaking with The New Yorker, Pelosi admitted to being behind the decision, expressing dissatisfaction with the direction of Biden’s campaign.

“I love him so much. I think he’s been a really fantastic President of the United States,” Pelosi said. “But I wanted him to make a decision for a better campaign because they weren’t addressing the reality of the situation. I’ve never been that impressed with his political operation. I’m not.”

Pelosi continued, “I mean, it just happened. They won the White House. Bravo. But my concern was, this ain’t happening, and we have to make a decision for us for this to happen, and the President has to make the decision for that to happen. Let me just say, I won’t say necessarily I knew what I was doing at that time.

I knew what I was doing in the whole thing, not just that moment. Donald Trump would never set foot in the White House again.”
