
Pawtucket Ice Rink Shooting Updates: At least two people were killed in a shooting at an indoor ice rink in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on Monday afternoon, according to local officials.
Pawtucket Police Chief Tina Goncalves said at a news conference that two adult victims were killed and three others remain in critical condition. Investigators believe the shooting was targeted and may have stemmed from a family dispute.
Police confirmed to WPRI that the suspected gunman is dead. Local sports reporter Branden Mello reported that one of the victims later died from their injuries.

The shooting occurred during a boys’ hockey game between two local schools. According to Mello, shots were fired from behind the stands. He also reported that a father at the scene is being described as a hero after he reportedly grabbed a gun from the shooter, who was allegedly carrying a second weapon.
Authorities said the investigation is ongoing as they work to determine the full sequence of events.
