RFK Jr Appeals Michigan Ruling Keeping His Name on Ballot After he Withdrew From Race

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the former independent presidential candidate who recently endorsed the Republican nominee Donald Trump, plans to appeal a decision by Michigan’s U.S. District Court to keep his name on the November 5 presidential ballot, according to The Detroit News. Kennedy notified U.S. District Judge Denise Page Hood of the Eastern District of Michigan that he will appeal her ruling to the Sixth Circuit Court.

Judge Hood denied Kennedy’s request to have his name removed from the Michigan ballot, stating that doing so would “interrupt the election process” as he no longer wishes to participate.

“Reprinting ballots at this late stage would undoubtedly halt the voting process in Michigan and place a burden on election officials,” Hood wrote, noting that 90 percent of the state’s ballots had already been printed.

Michigan sent out military and overseas ballots on Saturday, impacting about 16,000 absentee voters. Kennedy’s lawyer, Brandon Debus, acknowledged the “practical problems” of challenging Hood’s ruling after ballots had been distributed but emphasized the legal significance of the decision.

Kennedy’s legal team argued that keeping his name on the ballot violates the U.S. Constitution and constitutes “compelled speech,” which they claim undermines the integrity of the presidential election.

Kennedy’s efforts to remove his name from ballots in key battleground states have seen mixed results. On September 9, the North Carolina Supreme Court ruled that his name must be removed from state ballots, upholding an earlier appeals court decision. However, setbacks in Michigan and Wisconsin have tempered his success.

As an independent candidate, Kennedy had worked to secure his place on as many state ballots as possible but, after joining forces with Trump, announced plans to withdraw his name from ballots in 10 battleground states to avoid voter confusion.

The mainstream media has tried to slander RFK Jr. multiple times by reporting some false and some on not confirmed stories about him, Newsweek reported that RFK Jr. has eaten a dog, he posted a video confirming that he hasn’t eaten any dogs and that he has 3 dog pets.
