Tim Walz gets mocked for bizarre behavior on stage at Las Vegas rally

Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate, Tim Walz, faced some criticism for his enthusiastic display during their latest rally in Las Vegas. The event marked the duo’s fifth rally in five days in the crucial swing state, and Walz’s energy was on full display.

In a video making the rounds on social media platform X, the Minnesota Governor is seen clapping and waving like he is on cocaine as the crowd cheers him on. As the music played, Walz’s exuberance was evident as he interacted with the enthusiastic crowd of supporters.

However, just days earlier, GOP nominee Donald Trump took aim at Walz, dubbing him “Comrade Walz” during a rally in Montana. Speaking to a packed audience at Montana State University’s Brick Breeden Fieldhouse in Bozeman, Trump labeled Harris’s running mate as an extreme progressive and criticized several of his initiatives as governor.

Trump mocked Walz’s policies, including his decision to provide feminine care products in boys‘ restrooms and his handling of the George Floyd riots in Minneapolis. “As Minnesota’s governor, Tim Walz let rioters and looters burn down Minneapolis,” Trump said, adding, “Tim Walz is a man who is very freakish.” He also condemned Walz for supporting free healthcare for undocumented immigrants and for abolishing Columbus Day, calling his agenda “ultra-liberal.”

Trump didn’t stop there, highlighting Walz’s endorsement by Democratic Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders and accusing Walz of pushing socialism. “Walz said socialism is just another form of neighborliness,” Trump declared to the Montana crowd, emphasizing his disdain for Walz’s policies.

Back at the Las Vegas rally, Harris made her way up the stage steps in a packed stadium, promising to eliminate federal income taxes on tips if elected president—a policy strikingly similar to one proposed by Trump. “When I am president, we will continue our fight for working families of America, including raising the minimum wage and eliminating taxes on tips for service and hospitality workers,” she confidently told the crowd.

Shortly after Harris’s announcement, Trump took to his social media platform, Truth Social, to accuse her of copying his ideas. “Kamala Harris, whose ‘Honeymoon’ period is ENDING and is starting to get hammered in the Polls, just copied my NO TAXES ON TIPS Policy,” Trump wrote. “The difference is, she won’t do it, she just wants it for Political Purposes! This was a TRUMP idea—She has no ideas, she can only steal from me.”

He continued, “Remember, Kamala has proposed the LARGEST TAX INCREASE IN HISTORY—It won’t happen. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”
