Donald Trump, the 2024 GOP presidential candidate, experienced a mechanical issue with his plane, forcing an emergency landing in Billings, Montana, on Friday afternoon. Trump was en route to a rally scheduled for later that evening in Bozeman, about 120 miles away by air.
According to KTVH, the Billings Airport confirmed the landing and reported that Trump will now take a private plane to Bozeman’s airport. Before the flight, the Secret Service will conduct a security sweep of the airport.
The rally is set to take place at 8 p.m. local time at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse on the Montana State University campus in Bozeman. Joining Trump at the event will be Tim Sheehy, who has received Trump’s endorsement for the U.S. Senate seat in Montana.
This is a developing story, stay tuned for more updates.
