Trump campaign releases Kamala policy page since she won’t do it herself

Trump campaign releases Kamala policy page

Since Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign website lacks detailed policy positions, former President Donald Trump’s campaign decided to step in and outline them for her. “Kamala Harris has yet to tell voters what her policies are, so we thought we’d help them out. Kamala Harris wants to open the borders, raise taxes, and free criminals,” a Trump campaign spokesperson told Fox News.

In response, the Trump campaign launched a website, kamala2024policies.com, on the third day of the Democratic National Convention (DNC). The site warns that “Kamala Harris’ dangerous policies are nothing to laugh about,” and highlights nine controversial policy positions attributed to Harris, such as her desire to “set murderers free,” “abolish the border,” “eliminate private health insurance,” and offer Social Security and Medicare benefits to illegal immigrants.

The website criticizes Harris’ role as “Border Czar,” accusing her of opening the southern border to illegal alien criminals and allowing deadly fentanyl to enter the country. It also highlights her tie-breaking vote in favor of far-left spending bills, which the site claims have raised taxes and caused prices to skyrocket for families nationwide. The site asserts that Harris cannot escape her past promises, which include dismantling border security, raising costs with massive spending bills, and supporting the Green New Deal.

The Trump campaign’s website places particular emphasis on Harris’ economic policies, blaming her for contributing to inflation and high taxes. It criticizes her role in passing the $1.9 trillion stimulus bill, which former Obama economic advisor Steven Rattner called “the original sin” of inflation. The site also warns that middle-class families will face higher taxes if Harris is elected, as she has advocated for eliminating the Trump tax cuts and was the deciding vote for the “Inflation Reduction Act.”

Last week, Harris introduced her “economic policy,” which includes price controls to prevent “big corporations” from exploiting consumers. She also announced a housing program reminiscent of the Great Society or Soviet bloc housing, drawing criticism from opponents.

Despite introducing these policies, Harris has not provided specific details on her campaign website, which focuses more on Democratic merchandise and biographies of herself and her running mate, Governor Tim Walz (D-MN). Trump has labeled the Harris-Walz ticket as “communist” and criticized Harris’ fiscal policy as “communist.” After Harris introduced her plans for price controls, the term “Kamunism” began trending on X.

Harris and Walz have spent the week in Chicago at the Democratic National Convention, which has featured speeches from prominent Democratic figures like former President Barack Obama and former President Bill Clinton. However, the convention has also faced large-scale protests outside the auditorium, adding tension to the event.
