President Trump leaves G7 Summit in Canada early and will return to Washington, D.C., to meet with National Security Council in the situation room to address the escalating crisis in the Middle East.
The White House confirmed that Trump will depart immediately after having dinner with fellow G7 leaders this evening. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt released a statement highlighting the President’s successful meetings earlier in the day, including the signing of a major trade agreement with newly elected British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
President Trump had a great day at the G7, even signing a major trade deal with the United Kingdom and Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Much was accomplished, but because of what’s going on in the Middle East, President Trump will be leaving tonight after dinner with Heads of State.

According to Fox News correspondent Lawrence Jones, President Trump has called for an urgent meeting with the National Security Council upon his early return from the G7 summit. The meeting will be held in the White House Situation Room and is expected to focus on the growing threat posed by Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
I’ve been informed that the President @POTUS will have dinner with the heads of state of the G7 nations and then immediately depart for Washington. He has requested that the National Security Council be prepared in the situation room.

The urgency follows a stern and ominous warning Trump issued to the Iranian regime and civilians in Tehran on his Truth Social account Monday evening. Citing Iran’s refusal to accept a proposed nuclear agreement, Trump made it clear that military options are on the table.
“Iran should have signed the ‘deal’ I told them to sign,” Trump posted. “What a shame, and waste of human life. Simply stated, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. I said it over and over again! Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!”
Tensions between the U.S. and Iran have escalated rapidly in recent weeks. Iranian-backed militias have been increasingly active in the region, and recent reports from Israeli intelligence suggest that Tehran is nearing the threshold for weapons-grade nuclear enrichment.
While details about the nuclear deal Trump referenced remain unclear, administration officials have indicated that diplomatic efforts with Iran have stalled and that military options are being actively reviewed.
This marks one of the most serious public warnings President Trump has issued toward Iran since returning to office, and it comes as Israel continues its own campaign to neutralize Iranian nuclear infrastructure.
With the situation developing rapidly, eyes will be on Washington tonight as the President meets with his top national security advisors.
