GOP nominee Donald Trump has announced that Tulsi Gabbard and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will join his presidential transition team, a move aimed at broadening his campaign’s appeal across party lines.
According to a report from Fox News, Trump campaign advisor Brian Hughes stated, “As President Trump’s coalition of supporters and endorsers expands across partisan lines, we are proud to add Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard to the Trump/Vance Transition team.” He emphasized that their inclusion will bring powerful voices to the effort to “restore America’s greatness.”
In recent days, both Gabbard and Kennedy have publicly endorsed Trump in his campaign against Vice President Kamala Harris. Both figures, who previously identified as Democrats, have since distanced themselves from the party.
Kennedy, speaking at a press conference last week, cited three key issues—free speech, the war in Ukraine, and the health of Americans—as reasons for his departure from the Democratic Party and his decision to support Trump. He later appeared onstage with Trump at a rally in Arizona, where he offered his full endorsement.
On Monday, Gabbard also endorsed Trump, urging Americans across the political spectrum to unite in supporting his candidacy. “Whether you’re a Democrat, Republican, or Independent, if you love our country as I do, if you cherish peace and freedom as we do, I invite you to join me in doing all that we can to save our country and elect President Donald J. Trump,” she said.
