In a candid interview with Laura Ingraham on Fox News on Tuesday, former President Donald Trump addressed Vice President Kamala Harris’s use of pronouns in her social media bio. Ingraham pointed out that Harris lists “she/her” pronouns, prompting her to ask Trump about his own pronouns.
“I don’t want pronouns,” Trump responded dismissively.
“So you’re fluid?” Ingraham joked, referring to being gender fluid and identifying as having a gender identity that can change over time.
“Nobody even knows what that means,” Trump said, eliciting laughter from Ingraham. “Ask her to describe exactly what that means…they’re going crazy. We have to bring our country back to sanity.”
Harris has made significant efforts to appeal to the LGBT community by stating her pronouns at the beginning of various speaking engagements. In 2019, during a CNN town hall event, she introduced herself by saying, “My pronouns are she, her, and hers,” to which host Chris Cuomo jokingly responded, “Mine too.”
Continuing the interview, Trump claimed that the Democratic Party is orchestrating a “coup” to replace President Joe Biden with Kamala Harris as the presidential nominee.
“They took the presidency away. His wife didn’t want it to happen. They took the presidency away like he was a child,” Trump said.
Ingraham also asked Trump about who is really running the country while Harris is campaigning. Trump responded, “A group of people that are fascists, communists, Marxists.”
