Vance’s Wife speaks out over Democrats Calling husband JD Vance ‘weird’

Senator JD Vance’s wife, Usha, has spoken out against the Democrat messaging and media outlets that have misrepresented his comments and labeled him as “weird” in recent weeks.

This smear campaign has intensified since Kamala Harris joined the campaign, with Democrats attempting to portray Republicans in a negative light. Usha addressed these issues in a recent interview with Fox News, defending her husband against the attacks from corporate media.

During the interview, Usha shared that the negative press coverage of JD “can be hard” and that the portrayal in the media often doesn’t match the person she knows. “Well, this is not the JD I know, this is not accurate,” she said.

Usha, who introduced her husband at the RNC in Milwaukee by sharing their story of meeting in school, emphasized the importance of focusing on their family and personal lives. The couple has two children.

“We know what matters to us in our personal lives and our family lives. And so focusing on that helps us with the ups and downs,” Usha added.

“I think we’ve been doing this now for a little while, and I’ve gotten kind of accustomed to it and grown a bit of a thick skin to it,” Usha told reporter Ainsley Earhardt. “One really good piece of advice that someone gave me is just not to read the news that much, and it’s not burying your head in the sand or anything like that. It’s just JD is out there.”

Earhardt asked Usha about the “childless cat-ladies” controversy, which arose from a comment Vance made during an interview with Tucker Carlson. Vance had remarked that it was strange for people without a personal stake in the future of the nation to control policy. He promotes pro-family policies and encourages family values.

“I took a moment to look and actually see what he had said and try to understand what the context was and all that, which is something that I really wish people would do a little bit more often. And the reality is he made a quip in service of making a point that he wanted to make that was substantive, and it had actual meaning,” Usha explained to Earhardt.
