Wisconsin teen, a 17-year-old is accused not only of murdering his own parents, but of plotting to assassinate President Donald Trump and launch a violent uprising against the United States government.
Federal authorities say Nikita Casap, a high school student from Waukesha, was arrested in March and charged with two counts of first-degree intentional homicide and two counts of hiding a corpse.
Prosecutors allege Casap gunned down his mother, Tatiana Casap, 35, and his stepfather, Donald Mayer, 51, in their home before concealing their bodies under piles of blankets and clothing for several weeks.
Court documents paint a chilling portrait of a teen radicalized by extremist ideologies. According to an affidavit reviewed by federal agents, Casap had been planning a large-scale act of domestic terrorism.
The motive behind the killings, officials allege, was to secure the money and independence he believed necessary to execute his broader plan: assassinate President Trump and overthrow the federal government in the name of a white supremacist revolution.

Authorities recovered writings from Casap that glorified Adolf Hitler and espoused neo-Nazi rhetoric. One disturbing image reportedly found among his materials featured Hitler, along with the text, “HAIL HITLER HAIL THE WHITE RACE HAIL VICTORY.” Investigators also say Casap had connections with like-minded extremists and communicated with others who were aware of—and may have assisted with—his plot.
The federal affidavit further reveals Casap had acquired or attempted to acquire drones and explosives, which he intended to use as a weapon of mass destruction. Material on his phone linked him to the “Order of Nine Angles,” a known neo-Nazi group that advocates for violence and racial terror.
In addition to state murder charges, Casap may soon face serious federal charges, including conspiracy to assassinate a sitting president, conspiracy to overthrow the government, and possession or attempted use of weapons of mass destruction.
The grim discovery was made on February 28, when police responded to the family’s home for a welfare check after Casap had not been seen at school for two weeks.
Officers found the decomposing body of his mother in a hallway near the kitchen, shot multiple times in the neck, chest, and abdomen. His stepfather was discovered in a home office with a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
Due to the state of decomposition, authorities had to rely on forensic methods to positively identify the victims.
Casap also faces charges of theft of property over $10,000 and identity fraud. He has not yet entered a plea and remains in custody. He appeared in court on April 9 for a preliminary hearing and is scheduled to be arraigned on May 7.
The case has raised serious concerns about the rise of domestic extremism and radicalization among American youth, and it underscores ongoing national security challenges that continue to unfold within U.S. borders.
